Lower Limb Preservation (LLP) Clinical Project Assistant
Full-time Contract – 12 Months (with possibility of extension)
Salary: Commensurate on Experience
Location: Remote (Within Sudbury – Sault Ste. Marie)
Ontario Health North, Maamwesying Ontario Health Team, and Health Sciences North have created a collaborative partnership to introduce and implement the Lower Limb Preservation (LLP) in northeastern Ontario.
Maamwesying is inviting applications for a highly skilled Project Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support to the Coordinator of the Lower Limb Preservation (LLP).
Qualifications:
● Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in an administrative assistant or clinical role within a healthcare environment.
● Experience working with data management software is required.
● Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.
● Demonstrated training, experience, or utilization in process improvement.
● Demonstrated excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and patient information systems.
● Demonstrates proficiency in design platforms – Google applications and Canva software.
● Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple tasks/projects, diversified workload, rapidly changing priorities, and challenging deadlines.
● Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
● Ability to travel across Northeastern Ontario as needed.
● Demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge of Indigenous cultural values and traditions, as well as a keen interest in Indigenous Health.
● The ability to speak the Ojibway language is an asset.
● A successful criminal reference check is required.
● Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours as required.
● Preference will be given to a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time to time, exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage, or cedar may occur.
